remember this?  I didn't end up drawing all 50 pages that I've thumbnailed - I decided to do "same but better please"

I was thinking about explaining in detail all the changes that have been made. but basically - I drew some character turns, that helped with consistency. I measured out how tall the monkeys where (they're all over the place in the original) and re-designed them so they're easier to control. I made space for speech bubbles where there wasn't and added feet in some of the panels. dropped some tangent creating backgrounds. I'm not gonna write a long report on the differences, but yeh ... that probably covers all the big stuff.

@_____@ I managed to get tickets to a gorillaz rehearsal gig ... the venues look tiny ... I'm very excited.

umm .. yeh, I hope you're all well ... I don't have much to say. I might post some stuff I've been re-drawing and explain the corrections so everyone can learn from my mistakes and not just me. the final pages arn't perfect, but much better. (good enough for the uni project )

I feel like pointing out how I've been sitting the script for well over a year now and its nice to see the pages finally finished. you will find under the LJ cut a image of a drawing I did when stuck in Gloucester train station for over 1 hour because of snow. you might want to read the instant comics update before you read the page from last year.

I swear last night we all went insane doing uni presentation work.
we conclude: studio ghibli does follow disney's orthodox - however the main difference is that they are owned and ran by tanuki - sparkling magical transformation raccoon dogs pretending to be animators. (that's why all animators look tiered)

I found the gorillaz plastic beach quite early on (700ish people) and managed to nab 'sammy' as my screen name (which is nice because murdoc and the gang go by their names ... and I don't like mangazebra anymore) .... so yeh ... if anyone else is using it and wants a friend. I totally don't have much time to play tho ... all I've done so far is draw a picture for murdoc, feed russel 50 cookies and make a big banana mess in murdocs room (his fish didn't like the stuff I offered them)

Ohhh why is snowboard crosss SO good to watch? why are snowboarders so cool? why don't I have time to draw a load of them?
also - ponyo was ... weird ... but good. I loved her dad XD and that unimpressed baby was so funny. ¬_¬

re-designing characters I'm unhappy with. they just weren't moving properly.

inspired comics will be at Midlands MCM Expo - Telford - This saturday. :) sorting the art competition and stuff.

I'll have free mini comics and inspired will have all the usual anthologies.

This is from a very quickly put together mini comic which I'm hoping to hand out for free to anyone who wants one. they're photocopied - hand folded - A6 - mini comics. 6 pages of a very silly story. errrr ... you'll be able to grab them at whatever event I'm at next ... which to be honest - I have no idea which event that is right now ... as soon as I know, I'll let you know.

yeh ... more giant rhinos ... who I do believe deserve their own spin off comics. the characters above are Kerry and Wayne .... oh how they make me laugh ... oekaki board I'm still in love with.

I was going to try and draw a comic that wasn't about comics or music .... but I realised I'm pretty boring and when I'm not drawing and reading comics I'm listening to music, playing music or reading about bands. the final stretch of my activities variety is when I chat to a friend or watch a movie/tv ... but everyone does those things right? they wouldn't want to read about it? >.<;;;

I tried a random word generator to pick a theme .... no joke ... I got 'comic book' ... 8D comics about comics you say? ... so I went back to the music theme.
