Unfortunately .... I didn't write that quote. but it seemed fitting at the time .... because as much as I like comics to LOOK new and inventive every time I pick up a book. the word 'generic' doesn't help me KNOW how to fix what is wrong with my work.

CONG character designs .... they're fun to draw

I need a hat like this.... @_______@

Sarah found some new pens ... they're like handwriting pens but more like a brush. they're japanese. they have a really nice variation of line thicknesses.

8D Starter for 10 is on the iplayer .... I don't like many 'dramas' ... but I like this one. XD (maybe because its british? .... maybbbee)

:( but we watched the last episode of gormengharst ... I didn't want it to end.

I drew this when I was 13 ... in April 2004 ... 5 years ago. found it in my old dA gallery.

I drew this today .... November 2009. :) fun fun fun. I love drawing and looking at art remixes. but this was particularly special because I don't remember doing a 5 year minimum one before.

These are drawings from the weekend away with the christian union. I took a break from any kind of work/comicing and drew whateverr I wanted. :) hours of fun playing card games in our free time. T________T no matter how much I edit these scans they don't look like the actual drawings.

I can confirm that Inspired Comics Anthologies will be available at Comica Comiket (London, Sunday 8th November)

I'm sad because I cannot actually make it there. We don't have a table but 3 Inspired members are students at the University of Gloucestershire. so you'll be able to find the comics on the 'Pittville Press' table.
Hope you have a good time if you're going along. it sounds great.

but my song recommendation was played on BBC 6 last night. I always worry that my taste in music is uncool ... but I guess I chose well. (btw The Beta Band - 'Dry the Rain' T_____T radio edits make me sad tho)

Today was also Gormenghast night .... SO AWESOME. (I don't want it to end)

I'm looking for some crit for these story boards (so I can edit it a bit before submitting my final animatic) (theres not much time left - so I can't do too much more)

if there is anything unclear or you don't understand - please let me know.

thank you ^_______^

firstly .... this was just ... WOW ... Doves at the Electric Proms ..... I've not really been into their music untill recently. I really love 'The Sea Song' ..... from their first album ... so I figured I'd buy this album a while ago ... but at the time I wasn't too pleased with it. but I think I just had the timing wrong. ^^; past couple of weeks I've had this album on repeat .... it just fitted this time better than the time I bought it I guess ... weird how music does that some times. and the London Bulgarian choir .... sounds like that music from ghost in the shell? ..... wowww ... .they're drumming and everything ... I love it (I sure hope they record some of those songs)

these pages are a bit hard to describe what they're for. I've taken the text off because I wasn't very pleased with the way the characters talk (I'm totally not supposed to write dialogue ... its like I'm allergic or something) .... I had a very short deadline (roughly 24 hours to script and complete it) .... so I inked it with drawing pens instead of a brush (part of me thinks brush ink might have been quicker anyway (just because of not having to keep going over the same lines more than once)

These characters are for a different project .... they should be staring in a animatic  - which unfortunatly I probably wont have the time to make into a proper animation ... but its actually more the direction of the animation process I like anyway (not the slaving away drawing and colouring all the backgrounds night and day to get something that paces well done in time) ...... we only need to produce 20 seconds ... but I think I'll be doing that whole 3 minute thing again .... .(not to make myself ill by over working or showing off how much I can get done in the time space  ... but telling a story in 20 seconds is actually pretty difficult ... and I think picking the right song for the story has 50% importance)

8D - I'm having fun.... I hope you can tell.

its getting late ... and its getting cold. We think this might be setting off my asthma (this is unusual because I'm not ill) ...-____-

Just throwing this online to see if I can get any feed back/crit ? hope you enjoy reading it anyway. just the first 5 pages - there is more of it planned but I don't know if we're going to have the time at uni to complete what we plan in the little pitch thing we're working on (I really hope so - I'd love to finish this). I'll let you know if I decide to draw more or print any of it.

Birmingham/Bristish International Comics Show (BICS)
Saturday 3rd -  Sunday 4th October

Just a reminder that Inspired Comics will have a table again at BICS. Its a cool event. you can check the website for more information. We are also launching a new little anthology -

I also have 2 pages in the anthology created on the Comix Scheme I did over the summer. its epic in size and theres loads of really cool comics in there. It was a big project. Sorry I don't have a picture of the cover... but yeh! the proofs we saw looked amazing :) I can't wait to grab a copy.

V&A Screen
Saturday 3rd October
V&A Manga Day

Saturday 10th October

I've been helping out with the Showreel of animations that will be played at the V&A Screen and on the Manga Day. They're a pretty awesome bunch of animations. The Manga Day sounds like a lot of fun too. - theres lots of things to get involved in. But unfortunately I can't make it to the event on the 3rd (BICS was booked in first - and theres about 3 places I should be on that date - crazy stuff)
Check out the website for more details.
Or the Sweatdrop forums

(My animation will also be played - which makes the effort put in the time limit feel worth it. You can watch the higher quality version here. )
